There is a add-on for firefox called “Downloadhelper” that can download videos and flash off websites. It’s on the Official Firefox Add-ons website. Just search it up.

Question: my web page wont display when you type in exact domain, but will if you add “/index.html” to the end it will
I have an index in my main directory but it won’t pick it up it will only load the site if you type the full address including exact page name in.
Yes, I have put an index.html in the root (everything is in the root..correct?)
I am using local hosting service (local in ontario, canada)

the fastest, easiest way is to redirect from index.html to index.pl
Question: My “index.html” page has dissapeared. What happened? Can I get it back?
I had a Yahoo!/Geocities website for a long time. I redid the whole site and made it into a business site link, with all new code for the index page. Now, after some months, it is gone.
This is what I get when I try to go to my website ( http://www.geocities.com/silverfox962000/index.html ): Yahoo!

Try entering it in the blast. Thats the only place where I heard you can add a music video and other codes.
Question: dynamic HTML menu? I need a menu on ONE page that I can “include on all my pages” (more info inside)
Ok, on my website I would like to have a menu on the side. But I don’t want to just edit the menu right in the HTML document because I plan on adding extra pages in the future and this would be a huge pain.
I did have a page called “menu.html” and I would use php and it worked great!
I had to change my site to an HTML site and now I can’t use the PHP code. I need something that works the same way but I can use on my HTML site.
I am an amateur web developer and I would appreciate an easy explanation! Thanks!

The only undisputable way to do so, in my knowledge, is with php. With plain HTML, you fall back to the world of static, my friend!
However, there is a way to minimize your code lenght with CSS. I have included a sample link below. If you don’t know about CSS, it would be a good idea to start reading up.
I suppose it would be possible to call a javascript function, but I don’t really know javascript as of this day.
